Huasco is located near the mouth of the Huasco River, some 60 kilometers to the west of Vallenar. Huasco has about 6,000 inhabitants and is really an interesting city. Houses, warehouses or other witnesses of an impressive history can still be found in the downtown area up to the port. For photography enthusiasts it is a must to visit this area.
