Atacama desert: Near Inca de Oro
From the exit of Inca de Oro, the road almost 46 kilometers crosses a very large plain, Llano San Pedro. It is a quite particular segment, crossing a rocky ground in the middle of an unbearable heat. There's no sign of vegetation. The length of the longitudinal line is also lost on the horizon. To the east side we are accompanied by the hills of Caballo Muerto, a sector with active and historic mines. To the west the plain rises considerably, there are roads to the mining district of Inca de Oro. .
